Aerial Drainage in Tang Jiashan
8:12 AM today, the drainage project started to work in Tang Jiashan aera. Twenty minutes later, the water stream flew to the river bed of Qian river.
The water level reached a peak in the early morning. The government took immediate action by start the project at 7:05 AM. The yellow alert signal was put on at the minute the draining project started. One of the governor in Mian Yang said:”We arrange three kinds of alert signals: yellow, orange and red. Simply speaking, the yellow signal is for the staff to get ready; the orange means we should inform the residents to be alerted; and the red is for all the civilians to evacuate immediately.” Now it is the time for us to get ready and be highly alert to danger and pay close attention to the rise of the water level.
The commander ordered that after the meeting, all the staff should go back to their post immediately to make sure that one third of the going-to-be flooded area should be totally desolated. Further more, do make sure that all the evacuated residents should be well settled down.
