One EarthHour without Electricity

Last year, the WWF provoked a campain named EarthHour. Almost 13 cities including Chicago, Melbone, Toronto, ect, have already participated in the movement. The very hour was intended for our earth mother to have a short rest. By taking one hour off, the  paticipants were trying to alarm the entire human society of the severe enviromental damage, especially the global warming.

On March 31 2007, the Sydney Opera House turn off all the lights for one hour as it took part in the campain. The scene was rather magnificent and inspiring.

This year, or say yesterday, Hefei China had also attended the campain by having one hour without electricity. From 8:00~9:00PM yesterday, the city had the  hour together with world famous cities like San Francisco, Vancouver and so on.

Though the only one hour can do nothing to help make up the entire human everyday waste, it really can, I think, be a starting point for us all to think about the trivial things we can do to make contribution to the huge global enviromental protection project.
