Chinese Zodiac
Chinese tranditional festival– lunar new year is approching. Next year is “mouse” year. Here I find it necessary to have a brief introduction to Chinese Zodiac.
Totally, there are 12 animals in the zodiac chart. Honorably, they are mouse, cow, tiger, rabbit, dragon, snake, horse, sheep, monkey, chicken, dog and pig.
Then, 2008 is the “mouse” year. I’d like to say few things I know about this small animal. It is ranked the first high on the chart. Why? Isn’t it a nasty animal in our daily life? Yes, it is. However, ancient Chinese chose it as an icon because of its smartness and quickness.
It is said that, when all the animals entered the final competition of ranking in the zadiac, elephant was thought to be the champion. It is powerful and respectful. However, the unlucky elephant encountered his clever rival– little mouse! In the competition, the wise mouse defeated his opponent by sidling into the elephant’s big earhole, making the giant surrounder himself.
Cute mouse, isn’t it? Good luck every body, in the wit-filling year!
