Wild Snow Strikes De Qin

     Resently, De Qin District, Yun Nan Province, suffers a lot from wild snowfall. Up unti today afternoon, the traffic blockade has not been cleared up yet. Meanwhile, several tourists were found trapped in scenic pots. That adds up the total number of trapped tourists to be over 100.

    From Nov. 14th to 16th, the De Qin District experienced a heavy and long lasting snowy weather. The accumulation has reached up to over 40 centimetres. The wild snow brings the district break off of electricity, cable signal and communication with outside. No. 214 National Highway was blocked from the thick accumulation. Almost all the connection the district owns are cut off.

     Beside the over 100 trapped tourists in account, there are still some tourist out of expectation, because there are some remote seneries around the county town. Luckily, they are secured of accommodation and personal safety.

1168202271921zb44b108c003_b.jpg            It is reported that, the National Highway won’t be cleared before several days of sweeping. What’s worse, because of lack of petrol supply, some machines cannot work at all. Many of the snow-sweeping and road-repairing work are depending on manual work.
