Oscar Wild says” disobedience, in the eyes of anyone who has read history, is man’s virtue. It is through disobedience and rebellion that progress has been made.” This remark has been proved thousands of times in history. Time and time again, disobedience caused troubles. However, it also brought about inventions, liberation and even now eras.
Great scientists and successful entrepreneurs are always famous for their disobedience. Most scientific inventions are inspired by disobedience. Courageous scientists challenged authorities to find a way out of the recognized wrong theories.
One vivid illustration is Galileo who rebelled against the Catholic belief and declared that the earth runs around the sun. He claimed that it is the sun rather than the earth that is the core of the universe. His theory blew the leaves of astronomy and has won him ever-lasting fame in the world.
Another disobedient giant is the head of the Microsoft computer company– Bill Gates. His rebellious characteristic was revealed when he was a teenager. Dropping out of school, Gates was planning to start his own business. Neither his parents nor teachers agreed with his decision. Even his close friends didn’t believe he would succeed.
