the playground
I needed to write something about a place which I was familiar with, but during one hour of sitting at the desk, I got nothing. Actually, I couldn’t find a place where I could put pen to paper. Being tormented by this, I put on my NIKE RUNNER and went downstairs to run. Suddenly, an idea dawned on me: the playground!The playground, which has 400 meters track and less than 1,000 seats, is not very big, but it is a union to link all the students and teachers together. Every morning, when I come to the playground with the flag of our English Corner at 6:30, the playground has already been a sea of joyfulness. At the entrance of the playground, there are many elder women dancing to the music. They are so energetic that a lot of young people join in them. Their various dances even attract some foreigners to learn from them. Look at the western corner of the playground, you will feel pressure if you are a student. Because there are always many students read books. I believe if the laziest student sees this scene, he will never dare to get up late in the morning. Beside these students who are reading is our English Corner which is held by the Student Union of our department. Every member of the group is enthusiastic and talkative. Hopefully more students will join us.There is a football patch situated in the middle of the playground. The grass is cut neatly, which provides a convenience for these football players. It seems that this football patch is boys’ paradise, because no matter in the morning, afternoon, or evening, you can always watch their game. These boys’ playing football on the green grass makes a vivid picture. In the northern part of the playground, there are some fitness equipments. Comparing with dancing with elder women, the elder men prefer to stay here. They often play Taichichuan and sword or make good use of these equipments. Some of them will bring their birds here…The playground in the morning is vigorous, while it shows another scene at night, peacefully and harmoniously. People usually have a walk on the playground after supper. Some students who don’t have classes at night will play badminton in the light. There are also some people who keep running like me for an inspiration…If the playground in the morning is a boy who is full of vitality, the playground in the evening should be a gentle girl. no matter it’s a boy or a girl, it is always my favorite place.
