Today, I have read “pride and prejudice”, which takes me two days to finish it, although it is a simplified version. I like the main characters, although sometimes I feel anxious at their shyness to love. Darcy, an unmarried handsome man with a large fortune but very pride and coldness; Elizabeth, a clever beautiful woman but very poor. At first, they don’t like each other. But after experiencing many things, they felt their love. However,
Elizabeth doesn’t show her feelings at all. Luckily, Darcy is brave enough to express his love to Elizabeth and proposes her without minding the inferiority of
Elizabeth’s social position. I like this man gradually. For his
Elizabeth, for his love, he conquers many things, including his pride and selfish. It’s an valuable behavior in that times. And
Elizabeth also conquered her prejudice against Darcy. They get married at last and have a good ending. The author describes the details of reaction between Darcy and Elizabeth, and I think they are a cute couple.
