Concerning To Auto Insurance

Saturday, September 29th, 2007

I bought my first auto two years ago, and I was awfully excited then, enjoyed driving car around to play at every turn. In just one year, my auto had run 20 thousand kilometer’ journey.

But in the following days, I found it was very expensive to maintain the auto. One of the most important things was the auto insurance, it circa made up of one-third of the cost.

Another thing that made me nervous was that my cell phone always was filled up with calls and messages that sent by the companies to promote the auto insurance.

Of course everybody hopes they can get a corking insurance service at a cheap price. But I really had no energy to meet every representative of each insurance company, and bargain with them on service and price.

I told my problems to an elder brother who was in America. He studied aboard to America 4 years ago, and settled down there. He said that in the USA, people can directly use the online insurance policy, directly compare each company’ price and service. For example, the website Advantage Auto Quotes, it sells all types of car insurance including liability insurance, commercial policies, student policies, bad record, good record and so on. With this service, you can stay in your home and choose the most suitable auto insurance policy.Of course , you can lower your car insurance .

Yes, I think that this method is so good. If china can have this kind of service, so I will have no needs to be bothered because of choosing insurance, and have no needs to worry about that my cell phone will be bursted by the calls. Just searching the Internet, I will get what I want!

Big Wild Goose Pagoda

Friday, September 28th, 2007

As the National Day is approching, I’m busy preparing myself as a voluntary tour guide to the famous historical site– Big Wild Goose Pagoda. It might be a chanllenge for me to carry out the task, ’cause I’m not a local resident in Xi’an myself. But fortunately, I’ve been to the Big Wild Goose Pagoda several times . And it’s really an amusing  place that I’d  recommand to you to visit.

Located in the southern part of Xi’an city, the pagoda is a component building of the Ci’en Temple, whose constrution started in Sui dynasty. The temple, actually, was firstly named Wulou Temple.

When it comes to Tang Dynasty(648 AD), the prince of the period, Lizhi, added an extension to the temple, in honor of his loving mother. Consequently, he renamed the temple Ci’en Temple, which means”affection” in Chinese, in praise of his mother’s great love for him. The extended architectual complex was composed of 13 compounds, with 1987 rooms in total. He also invited the famous monk, Xuanzang, to take charge of the temple. Xuanzang is famous for his journey to ancient India, fetching thousands of scriptures back to Chia. And he mainly did his tanslation work in this temple. So it was a hot place for pilgrims to visit at that time. The king (the former prince) then organized the constructiong of the pagoda to store the numerous scriptures in 652 AD.

It was quite a disaster that the temple was mainly burnt up in the wars at the end of the Tang dynasy, leaving only the pagoda. And all the other buildings remain today were rebuilt in Ming and Qing dynasity.

There are several stories of how the pagoda was named. One of them is derived from the Biography of Xuangzang Rt. Revd. It’s said that one day a big wild goose was lost from the migratory team. It fell down to the ground after a day’s seek, exaulsted to death. Right in the temple, the monks discovered this wild goose, and they  believed that the goose the the Buddha’s metamorphic body. So they decided to build a pagoda for it. So the pagoda was named Goose Pagoda, or Big Wild Goose Pagoda.

Another saying is still more legendary. Before Xuanzang started his journey, he sweared not to have even a step back towark east until he’s got the scriptures. En routeto the holy west, one day, he was running out of water supply in a desert. He was extremely thirsty and was about to drink the last few drops of water in pot. A big wild goose flew over, dying of thirst. It robbed Xuanzang of his pot and drank the water. Sorely angered, Xuanzang follow the wild goose all the way, until he was brought to a clear steam of creek. Being graceful towards the wild goose, he decided to build a pagoda for it after he finished his journey.

Aren’t these interesting? I think both the stories and sightseeings in the Big Wild Goose Pagoda are amazing. It is really a mixture of architectual, historic and Buddist elements. You can check it out. It is worththewhile.

Recovering

Wednesday, September 26th, 2007

It’s raining out side. Darkness surrounds the block. And I am doing my letter here, to share with you my blueness.

I’ve been sick for around 2 months. I know it’s all my fault, you know, just tarrying to go to the doctor’s. But  the long lasting illness has practically triggerd my gloom.

He doesn’t know, but every time when he is around, I am uneasy and blushful. I carried this kind of unnaturalness for quite a long time before I decided to tell my heart out. That’s rather a hard decision and I made it on a hard day. That day, one of my best friend told me her adoration for the very guy right before I called him. Damn it! I don’t want to be engaged in this kind of soapie cliche! Let go of the fuchy sacrifice!~

However, I gave up finally. His cell phone would never ring. God knows whether she was doing it purposely or it just a coincidence. But I’ve dicided to quit. The die is cast, only the unresignedness is struggling.

I am hesitating to let the feeling out, but it really burdens a lot on my heart.

Mid-autumn Day

Monday, September 24th, 2007

Today is the annual festival of China —Mid-autumn Day. Wake up early, I find many of my roommates are busy doing wash-ups earlier than usual. They look refreshed and high-spirited. Step out onto the balcony, clear sky and breezeless air cheers me up. What a day! The whole world is in a festival mood.
All right, if you are foreigners or if you are not quite familiar with the traditions, I would like to introduce some information about this festival:
Every August 15th in Chinese lunar year is the traditional Mid-autumn Day, which is named because it’s right in the middle of the autumn. In this very night, the moon is rounder and brighter than usual. When appreciating the wholesome crystal moon, family members would naturally hope to be reunited with their relatives. And troubadours missing their far away families would use the moon as trope to express their pensiveness. Therefore, the day is also called “Reunion Day”.
As a folktale says, during Spring and Autumn Period there was an ugly girl in Qi Guo. She had great piety every time when she was doing obeisance to the moon. After grew up, she was selected into the royal palace as an imperial concubine. But she wasn’t favored by the king until one Mid-autumn night, the king saw her in the amazing moonlight and thought she was attractive. And she was entitled as the Queen of the empire later. That’s why most young girls in the past would do obeisance to the moon on the Mid-autumn day, wishing to become more and more beautiful. They also believe in the existence of the goddess in the moon who can grant them beauty.
In tradition, people would not only appreciate the moon and eat moon cakes, but also do dragon dance, human pagoda, and sky lantern etc.
Now, most traditional celebrations are lost. But moon cakes are becoming more and more popular. People give it as present to friend and families to send their best wishes.
Hoho, after a long revision of our typical Chinese tradition, I feel quite proud of my country’s culture. By the way, my class is going to have a party to celebrate this Mid-autumn Day. Although, I can’t spend the very night with my own family, I won’t be alone anyway. And I want to send my best wishes to people all over the world: happy Mid-autumn Day!!!

How do we apply our 400 yuan differently…

Saturday, September 22nd, 2007

As I’ve told you, I joined a dancing club recently. I paid 400 yuan for the two-month training. However, let’s see what my classmates are doing right now: they also spent some 400 yuan, however, for a BEC training course.

To make comments about the situation, firstly, I feel a little bit ashamed. It seems I’m not a hard-working person. Am I really a lazy girl? Don’t I care about my academic performace? My answer would be definite. I am a diligent student while I  care a lot about my study. I just don’t want to be immersed by schoolwork and certificates.

In mordern society, people are driven mad by the fierece competition for jobs. Employers pay more and more attention on educational qualifications and extra certificates. Consequently, the pressure for college students to achieve those requirment are increasingly strong. Not only my classmates, I think most university students in China are attending that kind of courses every week.

For me, education is important because  it makes us view the world from more sensible perspective. College is the very place you can enjoy the subject you’re really interested in. As for certificates, they are not the focus of my attention. Abilities are rather more worthwhile, in my opinion. Putting those courses out of the way, I can also get a good result in my majoy study. That’s enough.

Therefore, I chose to spend the same 400 yuan for a dancing club membership rather than taking BEC training course. I believe that edcation is aiming at fostering specialists instead of catering for market emplyers.

Sneezing and dancing into my new term

Friday, September 21st, 2007

This is the third week of my junior year in college. With no hurry to deal with bunch of assignments, neither to cram myself up for exams, still, I can feel I’m worn out.

Well, definitely, I’m not referring to the courses arranged this term. Those might be easier to deal with, I mean, compared with my URI. After my throat has been infected for 2 months (Hue~~ quite a long time, isn’t it?), it strikes violently against my ignorance. In companion with aches the URI brings to me, coughing, running nose and headache come along.

Now, you can figure out how I am applying my time: everyday, for 3~4 hours, I’d have to stay in the clinic, having infusion; then, dozing on bus, in class and even over my homework!!

Those are the stuffs I’m busy with right now. Laughable, isn’t it? Anyway, I have my own way to release. I’m engaged in a dancing team this term. This is the thing I can’t resist telling the whole world! To tell you the truth, I’ve dreamt to be a New Jazz dancer for my whole life. And now, the time has come. Ha-ha~~! How ever high fever I’m suffering, only if I’m following the beats and doing the movements, I will feel alright.

You say I’m crazy? You might be right. But I just wanna do what I think is worth my youth and energy. I am who I am—the girl sneezing and dancing into the new term.

And, anyway, I love this game.

Jiuhuashan trip

Tuesday, September 4th, 2007

July 23 to July 27, my wife and I went to one of the four famous Buddhist Jiuhuashan worship Buddha. Many read carefully before starting Strategy for the development of good self-help firms plan. Now, I said this trip feelings.

Transportation: Shanghai to Tongling T776, 6:21 start, the journey of 6.5 hours. Tongling station - the bus now Jiuhuashan prices, 20 yuan. The overcrowding on the grid, time still tight. While Jiuhuashan - Tongling the bus two classes a day, starting time from 9:30 pm and 4:30. One way around 1.5 to 2 hours. Tongling, and the train back to Shanghai on day one, at 14:52, so that the station will wait for a long time. The proposed fight car Jiuhuashan - Tongling in the package price around 200. Tongling - Shanghai train journeys 7.5 hours.

Attractions: We worship Buddha’s left, integrated Strategy, and their physical considered, we can do what we are capable. Our line is: 6:00 am seeking to minimize She signed, and then went to the Body Fat, down to eat breakfast, rest briefly, on the tram ride 100 Palace, after taking down the mountain road, Baidoa other monasteries. Afternoon free shuttle bus ride to Phoenix loose, and walk to the cable car (about 10 minutes), tram reliability, but also go a long way to get to the roof Temple, the relatively narrow steps, demanding more. Physical poor can all sit down on the tram. Comparison Unfortunately, because of the time shortages, in Jiuhuajie Huachengshi and on the contrary, not only to Temple Park into. Jiuhuashan scenery is pretty good.

Lodging: Originally scheduled a week early reputation of the better-bin, Villa, to the best of it, the price hundred wife, I did not counter-offer, I only asked to help retain good room, she Strip, Tongling in Shanghai to train, she is also playing the phone to me, I confirm to the Jiuhuashan trains . Unexpectedly, we found, there is also a two tourists in Shanghai to pick the room, reached the second floor and saw that the best location, since we will be saying that since this was. Wife not remained silent, only quietly told us: “You go to nice.” Oh what logic? ! I set a good week in advance, because it early on the others than we can count! This is Barron’s business practices! ! ! Because it is to worship Buddha, I too lazy, and her theory. Then read broadly about where all the rooms have to say disappointing standpoint, the room layout is not that simple, but also very dirty, the walls are small insect, we helpless, called the Ctrip asked Dongya still room hotel, Ctrip residence are back, we broke, only in the Bin China spent an unforgettable evening. They wife that we entrance, a narrow room, Chuangbanshang have insect body, only five TV channels. We ask the wards, wife to us for housing to the north, where some more spacious, but very humid, toilet rooms are small insect, the boss also did not answer this insect bites, I Khan ah! Small throw not, and tears have a water fight, heat shock, my wife even in a bathtub to see your. A pumping toilets, water tanks on overseas Biao, splash clothes. The next morning thinking about going to require She signed for, and get up early again Hair Washer bathe Unexpectedly, a half-hour water or cold water, only to abandon. In addition, room and electricity Coil on Coil asked the proprietress, to film, the wife did not answer, only burning of mosquito coils, the evening opened an air conditioner, a point the burning of mosquito coils, the smoke stopped. In a night-bin, I probably slept on I put up to three hours, is unbearable. Here, to advise the high demand on the health of tourists, do not consider China a bin. Because the next day will be spent on the downhill strong physically, it affects the rest productive. The next day, in recognition of a road trip due to the Friends of the Shanghai emergencies back to the hotel room Dongya give us, we fled this bin China Villa. Dongya hotel facilities and services are very good in this, the couple once again to express our sincere thanks!

Food: Good Luck Restaurant, the monarch. Color smell things, even my wife also has been a series of critical praise. Her family’s meat is a must dried bamboo shoots ah, we have also asked to buy a lot of dried bamboo shoots wife, back to Shanghai. Chicken soup is also delicious appetizers soil. Jiuhuajie of a Cuisine Noted Place called “Zeng **” (to the hotel name I forget) at the price of high-quality, cost-effective low, do not try to advise you of. The proprietress very enthusiastic to help us on the spots where, when we heard for the next day to go to sign immediately reminded me, too teachers over 80 years old, a little temper, I am also hearing, it is not really mind, either prior to her psychological foreshadow I, I really was too scared teachers that, Ha Ha. Meanwhile, good luck Restaurant Garden City is not only a market already demolition, for a long time before we ever find. If going to, or a wife phone so she can to pick up, if soil drinking chicken soup, preferably a day early booking because Youdun long.

This Tours generally more fun, planned for next year will go.
